Karnataka Sangeeta, Talavadya and Bharatanatya Examinations

General Information

1. For the importance of examination, instructions, grading criteria, and other information, please refer to https://sangeetabharati.org/examinations

2. Textbooks, syllabi, and other materials for each exam are provided under the Lessons menu.

3. Junior levels 1 and 2 and Senior levels 1, 2, and 3 are optional. Students can opt for this for gradual progress. The final fee to complete junior or senior is calculated accordingly.

4. Junior level 3 and Senior level 4 are certification levels and are only considered for final grading, certification of completion, and scholarships.

5. Junior Level 3 and Senior Level 4 examinations are always in person in Dallas, TX (except for those who already appeared for either Level 1 or Level 2 Junior).

6. Completion of “Pravesha – Truteeya” with a minimum grade ‘C’ is a must to appear for any level of Madhyama.

7. All registrants will get a detailed email about their selected examination after the registrations.

8. In unavoidable circumstances, if rescheduling, canceling or holding is necessary, one should follow the steps provided at https://www.sangeetabharati.org/examinations/rescheduling-and-cancelling/ at least two weeks before the examination.

9. If the cancellation/holding is not requested on time and a student doesn’t show up for the exam, there won’t be any refund, and the registration becomes void.

10. Though not necessary, Sangeeta Bharati’s books, and audio/video lessons can be used to prepare for the examination. Students are free to refer to any material and choose any song as long as the syllabus is covered and instructions are followed.

To facilitate the students and help them achieve their goals, Sangeeta Bharati makes all its efforts to conduct the examinations impartially. As Sangeeta Bharati takes utmost care in maintaining the integrity of the exam, participants (parents and Gurus in the case of minor students) must agree to the conditions below before submitting this form. <br>

1. The examination registration fee is non-transferable.
2. The change for date and time can be requested but the final decision is reserved with Sangeeta Bharati.
3. Sangeeta Bharati’s decision on exam results is final.
4. Sangeeta Bharati may contact the student or parents using the contact information provided (email and/or phone) only regarding examination matters.
5. For virtual examination, in case of any technical difficulties, students/parents agree that Sangeeta Bharti has the right to reschedule at a convenient date and time.
6. Students/Parents should provide the list of compositions for practical examination to Sangeeta Bharati within the given timeline.
7. Registration will be validated against the previous examination (if any) taken for the purpose of the right fees. If any discrepancies, the candidate will be reached out and the payment should be sorted out before the examination.
